Sarmad Aflatooni, M.D.

Dr. Aflatooni is currently an internist and hospitalist at SinoUnited Health. Dr. Aflatooni has more than 20 years of clinical experience, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of outpatients and inpatients in internal medicine, as well as the management of various acute and chronic diseases.

Dr. Aflatooni earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in 1997. Later, he completed his residency training in internal medicine in the United States, at Baystate Medical Center/Tufts University Affiliated Hospital in 2000, followed by nephrology fellowship training at George Washington University, in Washington, D.C. in 2002. During his training, Dr. Aflatooni treated a wide range of diseases and acquired the medical knowledge and experience to manage a variety of acute and chronic diseases. 

Dr. Aflatooni is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine, and has dual certifications in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology.

Dr. Afltooni has been engaged in clinical practice in China for many years, during which he has  also been actively involved in medical education, infection control, quality improvement, clinical pathway development, and standardization and improvement of patient care.
