Yajuan Zhu, M.D. Ph.D

Dr. Yajuan Zhu is currently a cardiologist，associate chief physician at SinoUnited Health. She earned her doctor's degree from Nanjing Medical University and has more than 20 years of experience in clinical cardiology.

Dr. Zhu is an expert in common cardiovascular diseases such as coronary heart disease, hypertension, heart failure, and arrhythmia. She has been practicing coronary intervention since 2005 and has extensive experience in coronary angiography, peripheral arteriography, left ventricular angiography, bridge angiography, and renal arteriography. Her areas of expertise also include PTCA, stent implantation, drug balloon, FFR, IVUS, OCT, and rotational atherectomy. She has performed common operations in cardiovascular medicine, such as temporary pacemaker implantation, deep vein puncture, pericardiocentesis, electric cardioversion, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation, for many years. Dr. Zhu participated in the establishment and management the Chest Pain Center in the Cardiology Department of Shanghai General Hospital and was one of the main emergency PCI operators in the center.

Dr. Zhu served as the host of Coronary Heart Disease Intervention Forum - Special session of Coronary heart Disease Drugs at the 2022 Oriental Conference. She participated in the case report at the Sixth Academic Emergency Medicine Week of 2022 Great Wall Conference and the 2019 Oriental Conference Coronary Intervention Forum. She has published nearly 20 academic researches and papers on cardiovascular diseases in academic journals.

Dr. Zhu was awarded the “Employee of the Year” at Shanghai General Hospital. Funded by the "Physicians of Excellence" program, she observed the clinical use of ECMO at the ICU of Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. In 2010 she participated in the Shanghai Medical Aid Team to provide medical support to Yunnan Province of China.
