Daniel Tong, M.D.

Dr. Daniel Tong is currently a general surgeon at Shanghai SinoUnited Hospital. Dr. Daniel Tong obtained his bachelor’s degree in medicine from the Second Military Medical University in 2000 and his master’s degree in general surgery from Tongji University School of Medicine in 2005. From 2005 to 2018, he worked in the General Surgery Department at the Sixth People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University, accumulating experience from thousands of general surgical operations. From 2018 to 2023, he served as the attending surgeon in the General Surgery Department of a renowned private medical institution in Shanghai, performing more than 100 surgeries each year and successfully completing various types of general surgeries for foreign patients from nearly 30 countries.

Dr. Tong specializes in the surgical treatment for common and frequent diseases, as well as emergency general surgery. He possesses extensive clinical experience and proficient surgical skills, particularly in minimally invasive endoscopic surgery. His specialties include, but are not limited to:
