Dr. Dongliang Xu is a Chief Physician, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, and Medical Doctor specializing in both clinical and basic research on urologic neoplasms, prostatic diseases, and urinary stones. He is skills in minimally invasive urological surgeries such as Da Vinci robotic surgery, single-port laparoscopy, laparoscopic surgery, laser surgery, as well as integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatments. He is a pioneer in techniques such as radical cystectomy with urinary diversion for bladder cancer, radical prostatectomy with urinary continence preservation for prostate cancer, and nephron-sparing surgery for renal tumors.
Dr. Xu has performed over 10,000 minimally invasive urological surgeries, including nearly 1,000 robotic surgeries, making him the urologist with the highest number of robotic surgeries performed in the national Chinese medicine system. Additionally, he has led more than ten national and provincial research projects and published over 100 academic papers, including more than 30 SCI papers in journals like European Urology (IF 23.4). He is also the holder of one national invention patent and five utility model patents.
